Meagan + Chris, March 2017

This month we are featuring a real wedding story from Meagan and Chris. They are celebrating their first wedding anniversary this month! Here is Meagan's story, in her own words.

The most important thing to me when I started planning was to not let planning become just another thing on my ever-long to do list.

My favorite part of the process was looking for Instagram inspiration and sending it to my wedding planner. She incorporated a lot of my ideas. Tiny Dog Press did too -- Kari worked with my calligrapher in Texas and tracked down one-of-a-kind liner paper from Canada that I had fallen in love with from Instagram. The cake, pie and macaroons were all Instagram finds as well.

The most memorable part of the day was listening to the toasts at the reception. They were so sweet and thoughtful! Today I can’t remember a single word though, and I wish I would have done a videographer for that reason alone.

My advice to other brides who are planning a wedding? If you are doing a destination wedding, hire the best local planner you can find and then don’t micromanage, but do be clear about what you want. Task either the wedding planner, day-of coordinator or a bridesmaid with making sure that certain photographs happen.
